Regeneration research focus of campus event

Tim Lyden, director of the Tissue and Cellular Innovation Center (TCIC) at UWRF, right, introduces Nandkishore Belur, a student studying for a master's degree in stem cell biology at the University of Minnesota's Stem Cell Institute (SCI), during the  Regional Regeneration Symposium in the UC Tuesday. Belur shared his research in direct reprogramming of fibroblasts into muscle or neural lineages by using single transcription factor with or without MyoD transactivation domain. The event, which is in its first year, was co-sponsored by the UWRF TCIC and the U of M's SCI master's program. It featured speakers and posters focusing on stem cell and regenerative medicine research at both locations. The 2014 Regional Regeneration Symposium will be hosted by UW-Stout. View more photos at

Children in the Workplace policy
There is a new Administrative Policy on campus titled “Guidance Policy for Children in the Workplace,” effective Nov. 11, 2013. Please review the policy at http://www.uwrf.edu/Administration/Policy/Administration/Administrative/AP01117.cfm.

DoTS survey
DoTS is conducting a short survey to determine the expectations of our customers and the satisfaction with the services we provide. The information gathered will be reviewed by the DoTS Innovation and Continual Improvement Team (I-CIT) and shared with DoTS Leadership to address concerns and suggestions.
