Huang named 2012 Distinguished Teacher
Newly named 2012 Distinguished Teacher Cheng-Chen Huang teaches a biology class Wednesday on campus. He will be honored during commencement on Saturday, May 12. Huang becomes the 49th recipient
of the most prestigious award presented by the university to recognize excellence in fulfilling UWRF's primary mission of undergraduate education. The

Unplug electronics for planned power outage
A planned power outage for main campus is planned for Sunday, May 13. Please unplug
any electronics in your office or department conference rooms before Sunday to avoid possible damage to equipment when power is restored. DoTS staff will unplug all equipment in classrooms. This power outage will not affect the
C.H.I.L.D. Center or Hunt/Knowles complex. If you have questions, email

Unclassified leave reporting due
A reminder to leave-eligible unclassified employees and their supervisors that April absences (or ‘no leave taken’) should
have been entered online by May 5 and should be approved by May 10. If you were unable to attend training, employee and supervisor references are available on http://www.uwrf.edu/HumanResources/HRSSelfService.cfm .
Open labs for hands-on assistance are held every Monday and Thursday from 11 a.m.-noon in the Gray Lab, Davee Library, through June 14.
