Announcements

International Education Week is Nov. 14-18
International Education Week (Nov. 14-18) is a joint initiative between the U.S. Departments of Education and State. It celebrates the benefits of understanding the world around us so we can better communicate and collaborate with others from different cultures. It is an ideal opportunity to inspire students to broaden their horizons through global learning, foreign languages, and international exchange. Check out the International Education Week schedule at https://www.uwrf.edu/NewStudentAndFamilyPrograms/InternationalEducationWeek.cfm to see what UWRF has planned.

Research grant opportunity

UW System Administration (UWSA), in collaboration with WiSys, is offering two research grant programs to UW faculty: the Applied Research Grant (ARG) and a combined Applied Research Grant-WiSys Technology Advancement Grant (ARG-WiTAG). ARG is offered as a one-year program for all disciplines on all campuses. ARG-WiTAG is for up to three years funding in science and technology fields only. The proposal submission process now provides applicants with the option of submitting short pre-proposals. These pre-proposals will enable applicants to receive feedback aimed at strengthening their full proposals. Pre-proposals are due on Nov. 30. Full proposals are due on Jan. 13, 2012. For additional information, visit http://www.wisys.org/grants/index.jsp?cid=14 or contact molly.van-wagner@uwrf.edu in the Grants Office.
