Bike 7,873 miles from River
Falls to Uganda
On Wednesday, April 20, the UWRF and the River Falls community will
attempt to "bike" the 7,873 miles from River Falls to Kampala, Uganda,
for the third time. For those who participated, last year's event was a
huge success! We're hoping this year to raise at least $1,500 for the
new Building Tomorrow Academy of Jomba. Bike to Uganda 2011 is set for
8 a.m.-5 p.m. on the University Center Mall (Rain site: Falcon's Nest
Mazzanine) during Unity in the Community on April 20. Everyone is
encouraged to participate in the third annual Bike to
Uganda. Donate $10, bike 30
minutes, and raise over $1,500 in one day for school supplies at Academy
of Jomba. See the impact you can make and learn how much
an education costs. UWRF has
raised more than $16,000 toward Academy of Jomba which was opened
Feb. 21. Register for Bike
to Uganda at http://www.buildingtomororrow.org/btu/uwrf.
