Students, faculty and the public now have an additional
opportunity to embark on a journey to the land of pharaohs and pyramids
during Spring Break, March 12-24, 2010.
A study trip set for Jan.11-23, 2010, is filled, according to
Steven Derfler, an art history professor at UWRF who leads the Egypt
study tour.
Cost is $3,950 plus tuition for students who are enrolled for
credit. The all-inclusive package includes round-trip airfare from New
York, all entrance fees, meals, domestic transportation, air tour to
Abu Simbel five-star accommodations including cruise ship with private
bath, transfers, hotel taxes, and porterage at airports and hotels.

Scholarship applications available Nov. 24
Campus-wide scholarship applications for the 2010-11 academic year are
available Nov. 24 through Jan 8, 2010. CAFES applications are currently
available and will be until Dec. 18. Scholarships are awarded on a wide
variety of factors including major, future career goals, GPA, hometown,
leadership and more. Each year, the UWRF Foundation provides hundreds
of scholarships to students totaling more than $550,000. Applications

1. U.S. Department of Education: Centers
for International Business Education Program. Coordinates programs
of the Federal government in the areas of research, education, and
training in international business and trade competitiveness; and to
provide grants to pay the Federal share of the cost of planning,
establishing, and operating Centers for International Business
Education. Deadline is Dec. 8.
2. U.S. Department of Education:
International Research and Studies Program. Provides grants to
conduct research and studies to improve and strengthen instruction in
modern foreign languages, area studies, and other international fields.
