Please join the Admissions & New Student and Family Programs team in welcoming Adam Ludwig to campus. Adam began his role as the assistant director of New Student and Family Programs In October. He earned a B.S. in communication studies from UW-La Crosse and a M.S. in college student personnel from Western Illinois University. Adam spent the past five years at UW-Stout, where he worked as a hall director for both new and continuing students. He has extensive experience in program planning, staff selection and development, diversity/inclusivity efforts, and student success initiatives. Adam is responsible for UWRF’s new student orientation and transition activities, including New Student Registration, Week of Welcome, Academic Day, and Campus Tour Guides. Adam’s office is located in 115 South Hall.

Board of Regents meeting today and tomorrow

15-passenger van and mini bus training
Training sessions for the new Ford Transit 15-passenger vans and the bus are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 and Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at Facilities Management. Training consists of an online session and behind the wheel driving. A fee of $50 will be charged to your department account. The Ford Transit vans have several added safety features from former vans as well as dual rear wheels. Two days remain for old phone recycling
Reminder:  Please place your old office telephones in the <https://www.uwrf.edu/DOTS/UnifiedCommunications/> recycling boxes<https://www.uwrf.edu/DOTS/UnifiedCommunications/> located in each building. All phones and phone cables need to be placed in these boxes before Friday, Dec. 11. If you have shared phones in labs or other spaces, or if you know a colleague is out, please place their phones in the box, too. We greatly appreciate your assistance.

Welcome East Ridge AVID and Park High School students to campus Friday
Admissions & New Student and Family Programs is welcoming East Ridge AVID to campus Friday, Dec. 10. Reminder:  early time approval next two pay periods
Due to the upcoming holidays, there are early time and absence deadlines for student employees, temporary employees, and university staff.  If time is not entered and approved by the deadlines listed, the employee will not be paid. The Nov. 29-Dec. 12 pay period must be approved by 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15. The Dec. 13-26 pay period must be approved by 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29.
