Art Scholarship Sale going on in Gallery 101

E-reimbursement reminders

All reimbursements must be submitted within 60 days of your return, any travel/expenses prior to Oct. 5 must be submitted by Dec. 4 or they will not be reimbursed. All UWRF employees must submit reimbursements electronically. If questions, email [log in to unmask] or call 3263.


Strategic initiative proposals 
Seven 2016-17 strategic initiative proposals were submitted for consideration and are currently under review by the Strategic Plan Progress Committee (SPPC). You can log in with your Falcon account to view them at https://www.uwrf.edu/PathwayToDistinction/Initiatives. The SPPC's final recommendations will be forwarded to Faculty Senate and the Chancellor in early January. For more information, email [log in to unmask].

Falcon Food Store open today
The Falcon Food Store in 149 Food Science Addition is open today from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and will be closed the rest of the week. Gift boxes are now available for ordering at http://www.uwrf.edu/ANFS/FalconFoods/Index.cfm.

Art Scholarship Sale, through Wednesday, Dec. 9, Gallery 101, KFA. (Closed Nov. 25-29 for Thanksgiving Recess). Choose from a wide selection of studio arts including glass, ceramics, painting, fibers, printmaking, photography and mixed media made by current art students and faculty, alumni, retired faculty and a variety of local artisans. New items added daily. Participating artists retain 65 percent of the proceeds while the balance remains in the Art Department for use towards scholarships, visiting artists and the student Art Society fund. Gallery hours for the sale are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 p.m. Open to the everyone.

Now You Know

State and Screen Arts senior Sydney Howell appeared on KSTP on Nov. 22 discussing her documentary short film, "The Dam Decision.” Her documentary explores the issues surrounding the future of the two dams on the Kinnickinnic River in River Falls. The film will be shown at the Falls Theater (on Main St.) in River Falls on Monday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. The event is free and will feature a discussion of the dams following the screening.
