Upcoming Events

UW System Strategic Planning Open Forum, Tuesday, Oct. 6, 8:30-10 a.m., St. Croix Room, UC. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to [log in to unmask] by noon on Monday, Oct. 5. The UW System has begun a strategic planning process. The first step in that process has been to listen to the thoughts and expectations of Wisconsin residents, businesses, and community leaders at a series of 14 listening sessions (currently underway) across the state. Faculty, staff, and students at each institution are also invited to participate in dedicated sessions on their campus, to ensure maximum participation and sharing of ideas by UW internal stakeholders. The goal of campus-based input gathering exercises is to ensure UW employees and students have a significant voice in the strategic planning process. At UW-River Falls, with input from our shared governance leaders, it has been decided that we will gather our responses to the strategic questions identified by UW System in three steps: 1) hold an open forum, 2) conduct an all employee and student survey, 3) hold a final open forum at which the results of steps 1 and 2 will be presented and refined before being sent to the UW System. More information about the UW System strategic planning process can be found at https://www.wisconsin.edu/strategic-planning/.
