Annual boiler maintenance shutdown

For your long range planning, please note the boilers are down every spring for two weeks following the closing of the residence halls. Steam that provides hot water, cooking, distilling, pasteurization, drying and sterilization will not be available during that time. The 2015 spring shutdown will begin Saturday, May 16, at noon and will be back on Monday, June 1, in the afternoon. Contact Heating Plant at 3955 with questions.


Presentation offered on state of education in India

Please join us for a presentation, “The State of Regular and Special Education in India,” by Premavathy Vijayan, Dean of College of Education, Avinashilingam University and Victoria Naomi, professor of Special Education, Avinashilingam University, on Wednesday, April 29, from 3-4 pm, in 116/7 WEB. UWRF AgEcon Quiz Bowl Team Fundraiser, Sunday, April 26, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Moose Lodge, 620 Clark St., River Falls. Serving pancakes, french toast, sausage, and eggs. Tickets are $7 each or $6 for senior citizens. There is also a raffle and silent auction. The team is raising money to travel to San Francisco in July to compete at the national conference.

Jade Sky:  Astronomy in ChinaMonday, April 27, 7-7:45 p.m. 201 Ag Science. Join UWRF physics Professor Eileen Korenic to learn about ancient Chinese constellations, how they are related to western designations, Chinese astronomy mythology, and modern Chinese contributions to space travel. Ag Day on Campus:  “Slow Moving Ag-Venture," Tuesday, April 28, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., UC mall. This year’s Ag Day seeks to educate the public about farm safety. CAFES student organizations and local agricultural businesses will have educational and interactive booths outside the UC. Open to all.
