Distinguished teacher Blodgett delivers commencement address

Students wear diffraction glasses, a gift from Physics professor Earl Blodgett, the 2014 recipient of the Distinguished Teacher award. These glasses  use a gradient lens which splits a light source up into its individual light spectrum giving the viewer a rainbow light show. Blodgett's speech to the students was titled,  "Seeing the World in a Different Light". Kathy M Helgeson/UWRF Communications.

Changes in driver authorization procedures for out-of-state drivers in 2015

The new year will bring a change to new driver authorizations for drivers with out-of-state licenses (other than Minnesota). This applies to everyone - faculty, staff and students. Current drivers with out-of-state licenses (other than Minnesota) will be contacted separately via e-mail. If the driver has an out-of-state license that is other than Minnesota, the driver must complete a “Statement of Driving Record” and have the form notarized before submitting it to Risk Management along with the completed Vehicle Use Agreement form. All forms are available on the Risk Management website at http://www.uwrf.edu/RiskManagement/DriverAuthorization.cfm. Web links to all State Departments of Transportation to obtain the “Statement of Driving Record” at this Federal website can be found at http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/webstate.cfm. Call Connie Smith at 3344 or [log in to unmask] for further information or questions.
