Students celebrate ending of semester

Classified Staff Holiday Luncheon reservations due Friday

Reminder:  Classified Staff Holiday Luncheon reservations are due tomorrow. The luncheon is Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 11:30-2:30 p.m. at Junior's. Please send $13 (cash or check to UWRF) along with reservation form (emailed to all classified staff) to Elisa Nordin-Berghuis in 105 North Hall by Friday, Dec. 5. Door prize donations for the event can be sent to Kay Corey in 136 KFA through Dec. 12.


Welcome students from Stillwater Area High School

The Admissions Office is hosting students from Stillwater Area High School on Friday, Dec. 5, at 9 a.m. The group will receive an admissions overview and a tour of campus, along with lunch. 90-minute Peer-to-Peer Workshop, "Authentic Group Discussion," 11:45 a.m., Trimbelle River Room, UC. A repeat session is Friday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m., in the Trimbelle River Room. Peer-to-Peer is a series of workshops supported by a renewal grant and hosted by the Teacher Education Department for college faculty interested in exploring new teaching methods. Film "Black Coffee" showing and Q&A with film's director and producer, 7 p.m., Kinnickinnic Theater, UC. Released in January 2014, “Black Coffee” is a romantic comedy directed by Filmmaker Mark Harris with Producer Eric Small of 1555 Filmworks based out of Chicago. The film is described as “A new romance with an attorney (Gabrielle Dennis) helps reinvigorate a man (Darrin Dewitt Henson) after he's fired from the company his father built.” The screening is followed by a Q&A with Harris and Small (both attended UWRF).
