North Hall Centennial Open House set for Oct. 4

An Open House in celebration of North Hall turning 100 years old is planned for Saturday, Oct. 4, (Homecoming weekend) from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in North Hall. This event is free and open to the public. Complementary lemonade and cookies. A tour question activity will give you the opportunity to roam North Hall. Students from the original training school will be here to talk about memories and stories they have from this historic building.


North Hall centennial t-shirts and posters

To mark this historic 100-year anniversary "North Hall Turns 100 Years Old" t-shirts ($15) and posters ($5) are now on sale. They can be purchased online by credit card at http://www.uwrf.edu/NorthHallCentennial/. T-shirts and posters will also be available for purchase at the Open House (check or cash only) on Oct. 4.


Year of China decorations available

A variety of Year of China decorations are available for campus departments to check out throughout the year including: tabletop flags, hanging lanterns, chopsticks, mini fans, straw hats and more. Outdoor gear and sports equipment sale

The UWRF Falcon Outdoor Adventures program is hosting a community gear sale outside Rodli Hall on Friday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m.-noon. Sales items include tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, climbing shoes, recycled bicycles, kayaks, and more. Sellers welcome. Bring your items to the sale. If sold, a percentage will be donated to the Outdoor Adventures program. Commercial vendor fee is 15 percent of total sales at event. Grant opportunity reminder
Faculty and Instructional Academic Staff Professional Development (Round 2) grant proposals are due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8.
