Finishing off a tour of the Dairy Pilot Plant Tuesday, State Representative Warren Petryk, who represents portions of Pierce, Dunn, and Eau Claire counties, samples some Falcon Foods ice cream with Chancellor Dean Van Galen.    Williams joins DoTS team

Please welcome Jim Williams to the UWRF Division of Technology Services. Jim will provide coordination and leadership for the technical support team. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from UW-Stout with 20 years career experience at the University of St. Thomas and St. Croix County. Jim is located in Davee Library and can be reached by contacting DoTS at 3687.


  Christman is engineering specialist in Facilities

Please welcome Brittany Christman as engineering specialist in Facilities Management. Brittany graduated with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and worked as a design engineer at Landform Professional Services in Minneapolis before accepting the position at UWRF. Brittany started her new duties July 28.

Tuesday, Aug. 12, 11 a.m.-noon, Trimbelle Room, UC, Lunch and Learn: "Beginning a Physical Activity Program 101."  Bring your lunch. Have you been trying to begin an activity program for yourself but are unsure of where to start or what you should do?  Nick Maiers, a physical therapist from the River Falls Area Hospital Courage Kenny Sports and Physical Therapy department, is the guest speaker and will cover what one should consider when beginning a physical activity program. Provided by Healthy Communities Partnership, River Falls Area Hospital, part of Allina Health in collaboration with the University Advisory Council on Health and Wellness. Opening Week events begin August 25
