Now You Know

The UWRF Police Department has started a new free bicycle license program. The department has partnered with Residence Life to make the program available to faculty, staff and students.

Students, faculty or staff can fill out a registration form at one of the residence hall desks, student service desk at the UC or the PD. The registration form captures the make, model, serial number, color and owner information. When the form is completed, the customer turns in the form and is given a bicycle license sticker immediately to place on their bicycle. The customer is also provided a receipt of the registration form and an example of where to place the license on the bicycle.

The bicycle license is free and will help the Police Department reduce the potential theft of bicycles and the recovery of lost or missing bicycles, as the PD will have the information to identify the bicycle and owner.

The PD is excited to partner with Residence Life to implement this program. The bicycle program should be available by Saturday,  Aug. 30.
