Construction Set to Begin on Falcon Center and Smith Stadium

Contractors began to deliver equipment to the parking lot in front of Knowles Center/Hunt Arena in preparation for phase one of the construction of the Falcon Center and renovation of Smith Stadium at Ramer Field to begin. A notice to proceed was issued Thursday after Governor Scott Walker signed the contract with Miron Construction. Turf is expected to be in place on Ramer Field this fall. In support of the Pathway to Distinction strategic goal of Distinctive Academic Excellence, the purpose of the undergraduate research scholarly and creative activity (URSCA) program is to foster collaborative faculty-student project, to enhance student learning and promote the culture of research, scholarly, and creative activities at UWRF.
