Falcon Center Groundbreaking Set for May 2
Please join donors, alumni, volunteers and university leadership for a groundbreaking luncheon and ceremony for the Falcon Center, UWRF's new $63.5 million home for the Department of Health and Human Performance, Student Recreation and Falcon Athletics on Friday, May 2. A lunch ($10 per person) will be served at noon at Hunt Arena with a 2 p.m. groundbreaking ceremony (free outdoor event). Falcon Center information and online lunch reservations can be found at http://www.uwrf.edu/falconcenter. No registration is required to attend the outdoor groundbreaking. Wednesday, April 2, 3 p.m. - 3:50 p.m., 152 CSH, Dr. Laura Nuttall of the Center for Gravitation, Cosmology, and Astrophysics at UW-Milwaukee will discuss the search for gravitational waves with the LIGO detector. *  3:30 p.m., Davee Library, CRSCA Reception. Celebrating Research, Scholarship, and Creative Achievement recognizes the intellectual and creative achievements of faculty and staff by honoring the work that goes on outside of the classroom. The reception honors the faculty and staff who submitted articles, books, academic posters, fine and performance art, and other materials that will be on display in the library. *  6 p.m., UC, International Bazaar with food from around the world, cultural demonstrations and activities, and entertainment.
