Event raises awareness to violence

Freddy Falcon and UWRF athletics team members stepped into high-heels Thursday afternoon to participate in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event. The Student Social Work Association sponsored the event to raise awareness and support for the one in six women in the United States who is a victim of sexual violence and to demonstrate that men can be willing and supportive partners in making a difference and decreasing the potential for violence.
