Falcon soccer team continues winning streak

Diversity award nominations sought
The UW System Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs invites each institution to submit nominations for the 2015 UW System Board of Regents Diversity Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize institutional change agents who have established a successful record in fostering greater access and success for students who are members of historically underrepresented populations (including African Americans, American Indians, Latinos/Hispanics, Asian Americans, and Southeast Asians), first-generation, and/or economically disadvantaged. UW institutions may submit one nomination per category (individual, team, and institution/unit) for a maximum of three nominations per institution. To recommend a nominee from UWrF, call Blake Fry at 3711 or email [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> no later than Monday, Sept. 29. Temple Grandin back on campus next week
Temple Grandin will be on campus Wednesday, Sept. 24, with a lecture, “The World Needs all Kinds of Minds," at 6:30 p.m. in the Riverview Ballroom, UC. Grandin is one of the most respected experts on humane animal handling in the world and an advocate for individuals on the autism spectrum. She is a professor of animal science at Colorado State University. Tickets are available at the Information Desk, UC, or can be reserved by calling 3911. Admission is $5/UWRF students, faculty, and staff and $10/public. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged as the event is likely to sell out. Graduate School Week is Sept. 29-Oct. 1
Career Services has partnered with the UWRF College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office, the UWRF Graduate School, and other UW System schools to provide students with necessary information related to navigating the graduate school application process and exploring graduate schools. Please share the following events scheduled Sept. 29-Oct. 1 as part of UWRF Graduate School Week (http://www.uwrf.edu/CareerServices/EventGradSchoolWeek.cfm) with students who are planning to apply or thinking about applying to graduate school.
