Living green wall installed in Ag Science

[cid:04D9BCA1-13F5-4B5B-8E93-0EC7EBA22E3B]

Horticulture majors Lisa Swast, left, and Avery Marcott, right, install plants to the living green wall in 331 Ag Science earlier this week. Designed by senior horticulture major Brittany Rootes, 336 plants varying in color and texture were installed to represent the Kinnickinnic River. The university was awarded a grant for the wall from the National Foliage Foundation. The green wall will provide undergraduate research opportunities for students to test the affects the wall has in an academic setting. For more information about the project, visit http://www.uwrf.edu/News/Living-Green-Wall-to-be-Installed-in-UWRF-Classroom.cfm and for more installation photos, visit the CAFES Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/UWRF.CAFES.
