Press box construction at Ramer Field has begun

Construction has begun on the David Smith Stadium Press Box at Ramer Field. It is part of the remaining Phase 1 portion of the Falcon Center construction project. Some Ag Day on Campus events moved to April 28



Ag Day on Campus events from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today have been moved to next Tuesday (April 28) due to the weather. However, the beef sandwich meal served in Ag Science at 5:30 p.m. and Greg Peterson's presentation at 6:30 p.m. are still going on as originally scheduled today. Call the CAFES Dean’s Office at 3535 for more information.





Classified Staff Advisory Council special meeting Thursday



The Classified Staff Advisory Council (CSAC) will hold a special meeting on Thursday, April 23, at 1:30 p.m. in 140 KFA to review and vote on two local policies for university staff:  Recruitment Policy; and Temporary & Project Appointments Policy. Position Title:  Administrative Program Manager II

Working Title:  Sustainability and Custodial Supervisor.

The position will serve as the Chief Sustainability Officer for the campus, responsible for the management and assessment of a coherent campus-wide sustainability program. Principle areas of responsibility will involve developing and managing campus sustainability projects and initiatives; working with campus constituents on sustainability projects relating to campus operations; sustainability programming and outreach across campus and with the community; working with campus in the data collection and assessment of projects and initiatives; and working with faculty and staff through the Sustainability Working Group (SWG) and other governance groups. This position also has direct responsibility overseeing custodial operations in academic buildings. The position provides support in budget preparation and project development and oversight. The position reports to the Executive Director for Facilities Planning and Management. Work is performed under general supervision.



Technology-only surplus sale

The Division of Technology Services and the Surplus Property Program are holding a technology-only surplus sale on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Rodli Hall. Please enter through the loading dock entrance on the west side of the building. Items available include iMacs, Macbooks, Mac Minis, Mac G5s, Mac Pros, multiple models of Dell towers, Dell laptops, computer monitors, mice, keyboards, speakers, cords, additional accessories, and much more. Note:  items purchased at this sale are not to be used for departmental needs. DoTS will not provide service to items sold. Boxed pork sale

The 2015 Boxed Pork Sale is Monday-Thursday, April 27-30, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in Room 150, Ag Science. This year's sale features Berkshire pork, famous for the perfect combination of juiciness, flavor and tenderness. Only 80 boxes of pork will be available so be sure to come early if you do not pre-order. Prices are $119/one box and $224/two boxes. Please pay with cash, check or money order at pick-up. UWRF AgEcon Quiz Bowl Team Fundraiser, Sunday, April 26, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Moose Lodge, River Falls. Serving pancakes, french toast, sausage, and eggs. Tickets are $7 each or $6 for senior citizens. There is also a raffle and silent auction. The team is raising money to travel to San Francisco in July to compete at the national conference.
