Phone system transition update

Starting today through Friday, Nov. 13, campus will be in transition between the old and new phone system. While we are in transition, you will need to dial differently depending on whether you are on the new or old system.

If you are still on the old phone system:

* When calling on campus to another four digit campus number, dial the number as though it is an off-campus number.

* There are no changes to off-campus calling.

* There are no changes for calling 9-911, 9-9-911, or 9-8-911 in an emergency.

Once you have been transitioned to the new phone system:

* On campus calls will require 7 + 10 digit number during the transition.

*  Long distance will require 7 + 1 + 10 digit number.

* For an emergency, simply dial 911.

After ENTIRE campus transition has been completed:

Once the transition is complete after 5 p.m. on Nov. 13, more traditional dialing patterns will resume (with a 7 prefix instead of our current 9 prefix).

All internal campus numbers will be reached using the 4-digit extension (last four digits of phone number).

For the transition schedule and more info, visit <[log in to unmask]" target="_blank">http:[log in to unmask]> http://go.uwrf.edu/unifiedcom or email [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with questions.
