Midterm election polling locations open until 8 p.m.

Voters enter the Falls Room in the UC early this morning to vote in the General Election. Polling locations are open through 8 p.m. Residents of Wards 9, 10 and 11 (includes east side residence halls:  Hathorn, McMillan, Grimm, Parker, Crabtree, Jesse H. Ames Suites, George R. Fields South Fork Suites) vote in the Falls Room in the lower level of the UC. Wards 12, 13, and 14 (includes west side residence halls: Johnson, May, Stratton) vote at River Falls High School. Administrative Program Manager III with a working title of Director, Falcon Scholars & Honors Program. Responsible for providing the overall leadership, supervision and direction for the Falcon Scholars and Honors Programs (FSHPs) and its staff. Full-time, 12-month position with an anticipated appointment date of June 1, 2015. Application deadline is Monday, Nov. 17. Edward N. Peterson Lecture Series:  "Time, Space, and China's Tibetan Frontier in the 20th Century," 4 p.m. reception, lecture at 4:30 p.m., Kinnickinnic Theater, UC. Year of China event presented by Xiaoyuan Liu, David Dean professor of East Asian Studies and professor of History, University of Virginia. Liu's talk will highlight a number of historical junctures of the twentieth century, at which the Chinese, Tibetan, and other interested parties-including the United States and India-took different political stances on the Tibetan question and defined the question in dissimilar time frames and geographic areas.
