Announcements

Employee benefits and the Governor's 2015-17 proposed budget

Feb. 26 memo from Alan Crist, senior associate vice president/Office of Human Resources & Workforce Diversity/UW System:

"I know there is great interest in the status of employee benefits under the changes proposed in the Governor’s 2015-17 budget. In brief, employees of the UW System will have the same employee benefits available under the Governor’s proposed budget as they do now.

Many employees have expressed concern about the future of employee benefits and may be making important retirement decisions based on uncertainty about whether they might lose a very valuable benefit if they do not retire. I repeat, there is no language in the biennial budget bill currently before the Legislature that would change benefits currently available to UW System employees. This includes the proposed UW System Authority model.

I will keep you informed as I learn of additional information."
