ALS Ice Bucket Challenge hits campus

[cid:BB6F0B9D-FE62-478D-A8E8-AA10AB630F04]

UC Director Cara Rubis, right, douses Custodian Steve Rohl with a bucket of ice water as part of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Tuesday outside the UC. UC Associate Director Nick Anders and the UWRF Student Center staff were challenged to participate by staff at UW-Milwaukee's student union. The ice bucket challenge is a national movement to raise awareness for ALS and involves people getting doused with buckets of ice water on video, posting that video to social media, then nominating others to do the same. Those who are nominated and refuse to take the challenge are asked to make a donation to an ALS charity. To view more photos from the challenge and to see who was nominated, visit http://uwrfphoto.photoshelter.com/gallery/ALS-IceBucket-Challenge-08192014/G00003AomD7mGsPc/C0000vXzoNR.O4Os.
