Spring Dance Theatre Concerts Begin Tonight

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dance Theatre presents its annual spring concert beginning tonight through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Blanche Davis Theatre, Kleinpell Fine Arts building. Admission is $10/adults, $8/seniors (60+), and $5/students and children. Tickets are available at the University Theatre Box Office, KFA between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or by phone at 3114. Egerstrom to Lead New Unit
UWRF is merging the Admissions Office with New Student Family Programs to create a new unit of Admissions and New Student Programs, and Sarah Egerstrom has been appointed as director. The appointment is a two-year interim position with a search intended to occur in spring 2016. Sarah brings great leadership skills and experience in both recruitment and retention of students. Please congratulate Sarah on her new role.

Center for Innovation and Business Development Ribbon Cutting on April 8
The campus is invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony for the renovated east office addition of the River Falls Municipal Power Plant (401 S. Winter) scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8. The updated space will house the newly created UW-River Falls Center for Innovation and Business Development and relocated Small Business Development Center. The ceremony is co-sponsored by UW-River Falls and the River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. Ag Industries Club Offering Lawn Mower Tune-Up Services
The Ag Industries Club is providing lawn mower tune-ups through April 14. Lawn mowers may be dropped off behind the Ag Engineering Annex from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. April 5 and 6 or by appointment. Tune-ups are $40 for push mowers and $75 for riding mowers. Pick-up and drop-off services are $20 within five miles of campus with additional charges for extended trips. Voting Open for Classified Staff Advisory Council
The online ballot for the Classified Staff Advisory Council elections is now available.  All classified staff and limited term employees are eligible to vote.  A complete list of candidates and the categories they are eligible to represent is available at http://www.uwrf.edu/ClassifiedStaffAdvisoryCouncil. Andris Straumanis, associate professor of journalism, has been selected to participate in a summer institute at New York's Columbia University on the history of Eastern and Central European immigrants and refugees. The institute, "America's East Central European Immigrants & Refugees: Migration and Memory," is supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities. It will take place from June 8-29 at Columbia's East Central European Center.
