UWRF welcomes Gear Up Get Ready students tomorrow
UWRF will be host to 200 seventh graders from Washington Technology Magnet School tomorrow, Nov. 7, from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. as part of the Gear Up Get Ready program. This program is hosted by Educational Psychology students in Teacher Education. We appreciate your patience as the nature of activity with these students sometimes creates noise and minor disruptions to campus routines. ETF webinars for November
ETF is offering 30-minute live, interactive webinars designed to increase your understanding of Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) benefits. Individuals can also ask questions at the end of these sessions. Upcoming sessions include topics such as the Variable Fund, additional contributions, buying service, and calculating benefits. Rogers to discuss book on Wisconsin Public Radio
A professor and author from UWRF will discuss the discipline of social work on Spectrum West from Wisconsin Public Radio’s Ideas Network Thursday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls. Host Al Ross welcomes Ogden Rogers, professor and chair of the department of social work. He has written a collection of essays, poems and other writings about life and social work. Rogers will discuss his career and new book, "Beginnings, Middles & Ends-Sideways Stories on the Art & Soul of Social Work."

This scientific showcase will focus on stem cell and regenerative medicine research at both the TCIC and the SCI. Graduate student researchers from the SCI will present research done in relation to their thesis work and UWRF research students will present work related to summer research internships from the summer of 2013.
