The annual Undergraduate Communication Research Conference is sponsored by the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of St. Thomas. It is designed as a celebration of undergraduate research in all areas of the communication discipline, bringing together students and faculty from colleges and universities of the upper Midwest.
Academic Rationale for Absence:
The Undergraduate Communications Research Conference is an opportunity for first generation, low income and underrepresented students in higher education to learn more about communication related researches done by staff, faculty, and students from all over the upper Midwest region. The conference offers students workshops and panels to have a better understanding of communications and how research can be incorporated with it. Participants will learn how to use research with communications and a chance for students to network and meet the different staff, faculty, and other students on their experience researching within a communications related major.
Participating Students:
Christy Becthold
Megan O'Donnovan
Jake Marvin
