The Marketing Communications Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.  Additional details are below.
Dates & Times (“activities should not be scheduled during the final exam period or one week prior to final examinations”): Thursday, April 6, 2017 (Tour/Presentations from 2pm-3pm – Require time to and from as well – Overall time 12:30am to 4:30pm)
Activity: Tour of Olive & Company and presentations from key personnel; advertising agency in Minneapolis.

Academic Rationale for Absence: Providing our students with hands-on practical experiences are at the core of our major. Meeting with industry professionals and experiencing what it would be like to work in an advertising agency will provide students with invaluable insight and allow them to make contacts for future internship and/or career opportunities.
