The Health and Human Performance Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies. Activity: Campus Presentation by Richard Louv
Academic Rationale for Absence: Richard Louv is a world-renowned author and speaker about the importance of reconnecting people to nature. This content is central to the theme of PED 201- Outdoor Education- Summer Concepts and Skills. I have also included Outdoor Adventure Education minor students who are not currently enrolled in PED 201. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to hear one of the most important writers on this topic of our time.
