The Animal Science  Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.  Additional details are below.
Dates & Times: Departing River Falls the evening of October 27, 2016 and returning the evening of October 30th
Activity: Students will be attending the North Central Reining Horse Association Affiliate Finals in Winona MN.  While attending the show students will tour the horse show facilities, trade center, and assist the NRHA Judges by scribing for the events.    Students will travel to Winona MN on the evening of Oct 27th and travel back to River Falls on Oct 30th.
Academic Rationale for Absence: Students will have the opportunity to refine their judging skills by scribing the entire horse show.   Students will also have the opportunity to network with potential employers at the trade show and event.
