As the Faculty Advisor of 
the Resource Management 
Club, I'm requesting 
University Sanctioning of 
a club event.  Club 
members will be 
travelling to UW-Stevens 
Point to participate in a 
wildland firefighters 
training course.  They 
will be missing classes 
on Thursday, March 7th 
and Friday, March 8th.

student (Zach Austin) who 
plans to attend the one 
week training, March 5-
8th, and would also need 
to be excused from his 
classes then.

This training will 
provide students an upper 
hand in their futures as 
conservation students. In 
the career field of 
conservation, 
certifications are 
critical in their chances 
of getting a job in such 
a competitive field.
