RE: Off-Campus, University-Sanctioned Event
FROM: McKenna Pfeiffer, Career Services and Laura Boche, CBE
The College of Business and Economics and Career Services Department are sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time. The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies. Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated. Thank you for your support and cooperation. Additional details are below.
Dates & Times : February 15, 2019 from 1:00 – 5:15 p.m.
Activity: Career Treks – we will be completing a site visit to the Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.
Academic Rationale for Absence: This program offers current students valuable opportunities to engage with industry professionals, expand their networks, and increase awareness of career possibilities. Students will engage with business leaders to understand the career competencies they seek when hiring, and what they can be doing to set themselves apart in the application process.
