Dear Colleague,
As you might know
already, I am teaching a
course, POLS 371 The
Politics of German-
speaking Europe, during
spring semester. This
course includes regular
lectures and discussions
on campus and field
activities in Germany
and Austria. Our group
is departing late
Wednesday afternoon,
March 20, and the entire
class will travel to
German locations, such
as Berlin, to visit the
German Reichstag, study
the development of
parliamentary democracy
in Germany, and engage
in other class-related
activities. We will
spend the entire spring
break in German-speaking
Europe, and will return
on Monday, April 1.
These activities are
related to an official
UWRF class, but I
understand that final
decisions regarding
missed class periods
rest with you. I have
asked every student to
contact you as soon as
possible after
registering for your
spring semester course
to ensure that any
possible conflicts can
be addressed well in
advance. Your
consideration in
allowing the student to
complete any assignments
that might fall on the
dates when they might
miss your class is
appreciated.
If you have any
questions or concerns I
would be happy to talk
to you. Please don’t
hesitate to contact me
at 425-3318,
[log in to unmask], or
355A KFA.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
