The Sustainability Faculty Fellows Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university's policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation. Activity:  Richard Louv, Author of Last Child in the Woods, The Nature Principle, and Nature Deficit Disorder, will be giving a presentation in the Kinnickinnic Theater
Academic Rationale for Absence: The course associated with this activity, TED 211, is part of the Sustainable Justice Minor.  Richard Louv's presentation will enrich perspective about the importance of place- based education.
