The Agricultural Engineering Technology Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.  Additional details are below.
Dates & Times (“activities should not be scheduled during the final exam period or one week prior to final examinations”): Friday, December 1, 2017, depart 8:00 a.m. and return 11:30 a.m.
Activity: AGEN 361 class touring Oxbo International Corporation who design and manufacture specialized harvesting equipment and related products.
Academic Rationale for Absence: The purpose is to learn how specialty harvesting machinery is designed, engineered, manufactured, serviced. Oxbo International develops, manufactures, supplies and services specialized agricultural equipment worldwide. Oxbo manufactures equipment for application, berries, coffee, commercial corn, fresh market vegetables, forage, jatropha, olives, processed vegetables, seed corn and vineyard. Strong values such as integrity, innovation and superb commitment to customer service are at the root of Oxbo’s business approach.
