The UWRF – ARMY ROTC  Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.  Additional details are below.
Dates & Times (“activities should not be scheduled during the final exam period or one week prior to final examinations”): We will be leaving 20 April, 9:00, Thursday morning and returning 23 April 2017 Sunday afternoon.
Activity:   Task Force Ft. McCoy for Cadet Leaders Developmental Training Exercise with all ROTC Departments across Wisconsin.
Academic Rationale for Absence:
Students will be doing military training with other ROTC schools across Wisconsin. They will be put in leadership positions to train and lead other cadets and learn valuable leadership skills. This will also enable then to learn to work with new members on a team and better prepare them to be an officer in the U.S. Army.
