The Agricultural Economics Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university's policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation. Activity: National Agri-Marketing Asssociation Student Marketing Competition in Kansas City, MO
Academic Rationale for Absence: UWRF NAMA Student Chapter is competing in an annual competition for an agricultural marketing campaign. The students create their own agricultural product and subsequent marketing and financial plans. They will present their plan in front of judges from the agricultural marketing industry and compete against other schools. This experience provides a simulation of real world marketing activities and critques in addition to exposing the students to top companies and personnel in the agricultural marketing industry.
