Career Services and the College of Business and Economics are collaborating to sponsor the Career Trek program, which is an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation.  Additional details are below.
Dates & Times (“activities should not be scheduled during the final exam period or one week prior to final examinations”):
Friday, September 30
Bus Departs Parking Lot B by South Hall at 9:30 a.m.
Facility Tour and Presentation: 10:00 a.m. - Noon
Bus Returns to Campus: 12:30 p.m.
Activity: Career Trek site visit to Uline in Hudson, WI
Academic Rationale for Absence: This program offers current students valuable opportunities to engage with industry professionals, expand their networks, and increase awareness of career possibilities.  Students will engage with business leaders to understand the career competencies they seek when hiring, and what they can be doing to set themselves apart in the application process.
