The ART Department is sponsoring an on-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation. Dates & Times Tuesday, October 24th , 9am-11am and 1pm-3pm
Activity: Wyman Visiting Artist Workshop, KFA, students will work in a group with the art department’s fall Walker D. and Helen Bryant Wyman Visiting Professor, Daniell Krysa
Academic Rationale for Absence: Students will gain first-hand knowledge of working with a professional artist. They will be exposed to visual prompts to create a mixed media piece and gain experience writing to their “inner critic.” Students will also be exposed to critical thinking skills enhanced by group discussions led by the visiting artist.
