RE: Off-Campus, University-Sanctioned Event
FROM: Joel Peterson, Agricultural Engineering Technology Department
The Agricultural Engineering Technology Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time. The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies. Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated. Thank you for your support and cooperation. Additional details are below
Dates & Times (“activities should not be scheduled during the final exam period or one week prior to final examinations”): Thursday, February 14 through Sunday, February 17, 2019.
Activity: The UWRF Ag. Industries Club will be taking their annual trip to attend the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY.
Academic Rationale for Absence: The National Farm Machinery Show is one of the largest farm shows in the U.S. All of the major agriculture companies will be there, displaying their new equipment and technology. It is a great opportunity for students to gain further knowledge of the new developments in the agricultural field as well as network with industry professionals for future jobs and internships.
