The Health and Human Performance Department is sponsoring an off-campus activity and a student in your course might miss class time.  The offices of the Provost and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs require that students provide this notice to you no later than one week prior to their scheduled activity to be in compliance with appropriate policies.  Your consideration in allowing them to complete course assignments and work in compliance with these university’s policies* is appreciated.  Thank you for your support and cooperation. Activity: UWRF Health Fair
Academic Rationale for Absence: These students have been learning about health and wellness this semester.  This event allows them to increase the depth of their knowledge on a particular health topic and then gain experience educating others.  This is an important experience for our students as each of them will be educating and informing others about aspects of health and wellness in their selected careers.  It is important for them to not only have the experience gaining the knowledge to present to others, but also experience the coordination, planning, and preparation that goes into such an event.
