10th anniversary of CRSCA event

The Offices of the Provost, Grants and Research, and the UWRF Chalmer Davee Library would like to invite you to a special Celebration of Research, Scholarly and Creative Achievement (CRSCA).  This year marks the 10th anniversary of CRSCA, an annual event honoring the academic and creative output of UWRF faculty and staff. The celebration includes exhibits throughout Davee Library from Monday, March 26-Friday, April 13, and a reception in the library atrium on Tuesday, March 27, from 3:30-5 p.m. Clarke Garry, Biology Department emeritus, and artist Gaylord Schanilec will be guest speakers, giving a presentation in the library’s upper level breezeway at 4 pm. Garry and Schanilec authored and illustrated “Mayflies of the Driftless Region.” UWRF student and classical guitarist, Elliot Novak, will be performing during the reception.  Members of the campus community as well as the general public are encouraged to attend. CAFES Centennial Ice Cream Flavor Contest

The College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences is turning 100 years old and would like your help in choosing a birthday ice cream flavor. Submit your extreme, mouth watering ideas to cafes@uwrf.edu. Include your name, phone number,named flavor and ingredients or drop your idea in one of the red boxes located in the C-Store in the UC or outside the CAFES Dean's Office in Ag Science. Ideas welcomes through April 3. The top three flavors will compete in a taste testing contest April17 and 18 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the UC. Voting may also be done through Facebook beginning at 10 a.m. on April 17. Up for grabs is a $100 VISA Gift Card provided by UWRF’s Dairy Pilot Plant. The winning flavor will be announced at the CAFES Centennial Kickoff Banquet on April 19 and on the CAFES Facebook page. Starting next fall, the CAFES centennial flavor will be available for purchase in the Falcon Foods Store and in the C-Store. We’ll also be serving it at our campus-wide birthday celebration in September.


Laser printer cartridges
The Dean's office in the College of Business and Economics has two Laser Sharp remanufactured laser printer cartridges to give away. One is for use with HP 4L, 4P, 4ML and 4MP printers and has an item number of LS92274A, the other is for use with a HP LJ1100 printer and has an item number of LS4092A. Contact Connie Fassino at 3335 if interested.

Saturday, March 24, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., North Hall auditorium, Music Education Workshop presented by the UWRF Music Department. Keynote speaker is Scott Iseminger with "The What, Why, and How to Successful Music Education." The goal of the program to use the expertise and teaching experiences of area K-12 music educators in collaboration with UWRF music and core education faculty to enhance the teaching and learning of pre-service K-12 music education and core education teachers, as well as, foster curricular connections and professional relationships.
