Tickets available for third annual Bowls for Hope event


UWRF is again hosting the Bowls for Hope event on Tuesday, March 27, from 5-7 p.m. in the UC. For an entrance fee of $20/adult and $5/children 12 and under, participants may select and keep a bowl that was created in ceramic/pottery classes at UWRF (shown above), River Falls High School, Meyer Middle School, the Renaissance Academy or by area artists. Attendees may then sample, at no extra charge, soups donated and served by area restaurants. Proceeds this year will benefit the River Falls Community Food Pantry. Important travel reimbursement notice

To all UWRF employees who receive payroll via ACH (Automated Clearing House) deposit:  Beginning Monday, April 2, Accounts Payable will process all employee reimbursements (e.g. Travel Expense Reports, reimbursement claims, etc.) as an ACH payment…provided you are currently receiving your paycheck via ACH. Celebration set for new strategic plan

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the celebration of the launch of our new strategic plan, Pathway to Distinction, on Thursday, April 26, from 2:30-4 p.m. in the UC. Reminder:  If you use or approve online timesheets and are leaving for Spring Break, please be sure to enter and approve time for the March A pay period (hours worked Feb. 26-March 10)before you leave.


UW Symposium registration deadline extended

The 12th Annual Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity is at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday, April 27. The symposium gives undergraduate students in all disciplines, from all University of Wisconsin institutions, an opportunity to present their scholarly work on a wide variety of topics from artistic expressions to scientific research. Students participate through oral presentations, poster displays, gallery exhibits, and artistic performances. Throughout the day, participants have the opportunity to interact with students, faculty, and staff from all UW System campuses. The registration deadline has been extended to March 9.
