CPR training offered on campus

CPR training will be offered on campus on Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 16, from 8 a.m.-noon in the Eau Galle Room, UC. Cost for the training through the American Heart Association is $60. Checks (made out to UW-River Falls) must be received in advance in order to reserve your space. Please send checks to UWRF Risk Management in 25H North Hall. If you would like to use department funds to pay for employee training, contact Risk Management at 3344 to arrange for department fund transfers. Contact Connie Smith at 3344. 


2012 Semester Abroad: Europe program meeting

All interested students are invited to the first preparatory meeting of the 2012 Semester Abroad: Europe program on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 7-9 p.m. in 211 Ag. Science. The program offers juniors and seniors in all majors the opportunity to plan independent study projects in the spring and carry them out in Europe in the fall. Some recent projects have focused on jazz music in Prague, horse rehabilitation in Italy, the universal health care system in Germany, cave geology in Slovenia, and the structure of the British parliamentary system. Participants also take advantage of a month of independent or small group travel throughout Europe at the end of the fall semester.
