Now you know

October is Wisconsin Archives Month. This year's theme is "Postcard
Wisconsin" and serves to highlight the preservation of memories and the
sharing of stories about individuals, their families, and their
experiences through archival documents such as historical postcards.

A wide variety of unique, historical postcards are on display in the exhibit case near the entrance to the University Archives and Area Research Center on the lower level of the Davee Library.

October is also celebrated nationally as American Archives Month, a collaborative effort by professional
organizations and repositories around the nation to highlight the
importance of records of enduring value.
