Soccer team opens season with win
Falcon Eryn Lansverk (15) battles a St. Mary's
player for a loose ball during the team's season opener at Ramer Field
on Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons started the season well with a 3-0
win. Cassie Stang, Lansverk and Alyssa Manor all scored goals for the
Falcons. Goalie Rachel Thompson made four saves to record the shutout -
it was the sixth of her career. UWRF will next play at Simpson College
on Saturday with action starting at 6
p.m. The next Falcon home game is Sept. 10 when the Falcons host
Augsburg College at Ramer Field. For

Enrollment Services offices
offer extended hours
Enrollment Services offices (Admissions, Financial Aid and Billing and
Registrar) will be open for extended hours Sept. 2, 7, 8, and 9. All
will be open until 5:30 p.m. on those dates.
Correction: no home volleyball game Sept. 3
In the Upcoming Events in yesterday's Falcon Daily the Sept.

women's
volleyball game was incorrectly listed as a home game. The game is not
a home game, but instead the team is playing at the Lakeland College
Tourney. The next home volleyball game in Sept. 8 vs. Augsburg at 7 p.m.
Phone directory information update needed
It's time to update your phone directory information. Go to "For
Faculty and Staff" on our website, locate "Find People" under the
"Tools" section, and review the information found there. The "2010-2011
Directory, Sept. 1, Departments and Staff" is a PDF file which you can
download and review. You can also check your individual listing in
"Find People." This page contains information on how to change your
work address and phone. You will need to make your changes in eSIS by
Friday, Sept. 17.
Update from Disability Services
Disability Services has revised the blue colored "Note Take
Application" that's used to hire and pay a classmate who will provide
copies of lecture notes to a disabled student. At the top of the form
there is now a place where you can indicate the date that the disabled
student gives you that form. By indicating the date, Disability
Services will be able to better ensure it's in compliance with the
federal law that requires the classmate to fill out an I-9 Form (for a
proper employment status). Contact Mark Johnson at 3531.
Faculty and academic staff development
Reminder: The first deadline of program proposals is Sept. 13 for Round
1 of Faculty and Professional Development Grants. The deadline for
Faculty Retraining and Renewal Grants is Sept. 20. Sabbatical Leave
applications are due Oct. 1. For guidelines, forms, deadlines, and more
information, visit the Faculty and Academic Staff Development Program

Weight management meetings offered on campus
Weight Watchers would like to offer meetings on campus and will offer a
special rate of $156 for 13 weeks which includes eTools and Weight
