Now you know
Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent
confidential shredding and electronic recycling sponsored by Facilities
Management.
As a result of your efforts, UWRF was able to properly dispose of 7,960
pounds of confidential documents. The total amount of electronics
recycled filled three 10-yard dumpsters that were later sorted and
recycled.
Facilities will be offering this service to campus on an annual to
semi-annual basis. Watch Falcon Daily regarding future dates.

Relay team earns All-American honors, sets
record
The Falcon 4x400-meter relay team set
a school record and placed fourth at the NCAA Championships this past
weekend in Berea, Ohio. The Falcon team of Samantha Nyre, Alyssa
Rasmussen, Kali Meurer and Natasha Arnold (pictured above in an earlier
meet at UWRF) finished in 3:46.93, the fastest time in WIAC Conference
history. They destroyed their own school record of 3:49.77 set at the
UW-La Crosse Eagle Open on May 14. The four team members all earned
NCAA All-American honors. Arnold earned All-American honors with a
seventh place finish in the 400-meters. She ran a 55.95 in the finals
on Saturday. In Friday's trials she set a school record with a time of
55.87. Arnold, a junior from Stevens Point, also earned NCAA
All-American honors for her eighth place finish at the 2010 NCAA indoor
Championships in March. The Falcons scored seven team points and placed
38th. Photo by Jens Gunelson.
